Through the assistance of generous individuals and the United Way, we attempt to provide assistance to those who have an inability to pay full membership. Contact the Courtesy Desk for application forms. Because of limited resources, we may limit financial assistance at any time.

Please contact our Membership Director, Jean Flider at 872-3835 x 147 if you have any concerns with our YCares program.

Punch Cards
The Decatur Family YMCA offers several options for class registration to both Y Members and Prospective Members.

Member Group Exercise Punch Cards are available to those Members who choose to attend "paid" classes without registering for the entire session. Preference will be given to those who register for the entire session and if class room is available, those Members who have purchased a Member Group Exercise Punch Card may com in and participate. Cost for cards is $19.50 for 7 classes or $39 for 17 classes. Please present the punch card to the instructor prior to the class.

Prospective Member Punch Cards are available to those who plan to attend either Aquatic or Land Exercise Classes without becoming Members. Cost for Prospective Member Punch Cars is $75 for 10 visits.

Racquetball Court Reservation Punch Cards are available for Members who play racquetball and occasionally wish to make court reservations. Cost is $10 for 10 reservations (this is a savings of $2 per registration over the single-time reservation fee of $3). Reservations may be made by stopping by the Courtesy Desk or calling 872-9622. For those who reserves several court-hours each week, we offer an annual reservation pass at a fee of $55 per year. For more information, email Gene or call 872-3835 ext.146.

YMCA Dress Code
The YMCA seeks to model and encourage behavior that fits with our Character Development Initiative. We model and encourage: CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT and RESPONSIBILITY throughout the facility. To that end, we would hope that the dress and behavior of staff members and participants would reflect those values. Dress that is offensive or overly revealing does not help to uphold the Mission of the YMCA. Staff members and participants are asked to dress in a manner that will not cause offense to others. Some type of shirt or top should be worn at all times. (The exception being in the gym when "skins vs. shirts" basketball games are played.)

A swimsuit is required in the pool. Cut-offs and shirts are not allowed and no shoes are allowed on deck. Please refrain from wearing swimsuits in all other areas of the facility. Shoes are required in all areas of the YMCA except the pool area and locker rooms.

Lost & Found
Attention Members:
We care about you and your health. Any items left in the locker rooms, in unoccupied or unassigned lockers, and in lost and found, will be discarded after a period of 30 days. Please be sure you check all your belongings and not leave them at the Y. They will be kept here for retrieval by the owner for that 30 day period. If the items are not claimed they will be disposed of properly and caringly. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
