At the YMCA you can pick from a variety of water fitness classes. National exercise associations certify the instructors. You will love the workout and the wonderful people who will be participating. One hour of water workout equals two hours of land exercise without any body stress. A water workout will help you relieve tensions and make your life a little easier. All adult Aquatic Exercise Classes are designed for swimmers and non swimmers alike.

Cardio Conditioning

Deep Water ExerciseDeep Water Exercise
This thirty minute water exercise class is conducted in the deep end of the Lap Pool. Legs and abs are targeted. Water belts or barbells are used to maintain buoyancy.

Water Walking
It's fun and easy with long-lasting results. Thirty minutes of brisk water walking
equals one hour of land walking. The resistance of the water to your every move enables Water Walking to burn calories, enhance your physique and strengthen your cardiovascular muscles while toning the rest of your body. Come join us! Improve your endurance and get a great workout in a relatively small amount of time.

Try our fantastic Water Walking Circle. See the current water aerobics schedule for open water walking times.

Lap Swimming

Start recording your miles in our "Swim for Life" and receive a T-shirt for 100, 500 and 1000 miles. Lap swimming (with at least one lane available).
