Financial
Aid / YCares
Our
goal at Camp Sokkia is to provide all children with
new and progressive opportunities and activities that are physically
and mentally challenging. In order to achieve this, financial assistance
is available for families who are unable to afford the cost. The
following are the steps you will need to follow in order to gain
financial assistance:
w 1.
Fill out an application for assistance through Child Care Resources.
This application packet may be obtained through the Courtesy Desk
at the Decatur Family YMCA. Read through and follow the instructions
in the packet to complete the application. Bring the completed application
to the Decatur Family YMCA for review and coding. The YMCA will submit
your application to Child Care Resources (CCRS) for consideration.
As with other agencies, CCRS resources are limited; please be proactive
and submit your application quickly. CCRS begins taking applications
around May 1st.
w 2.
If approval is denied through CCRS, you may apply for assistance
through the Decatur Family YMCA directly. You may obtain the
Camp Sokkia YCares application from the Courtesy Desk, complete
that application and provide the requested documentation. Submit
a copy of the CCRS denial letter along with your completed
YCares application to Glenda in the Business Office at the
Decatur Family YMCA. YCares resources are provided through
the generous contributions we receive each year to our Strong
Kids Campaign make it possible to provide financial assistance
to those not approved through CCRS.
