Worland
Keith
is the new Youth and Family Director at the Decatur Family
YMCA. He joins us from St. Louis MO where he graduated
from Fontbonne University with a degree in Early Childhood
Education.
Keith has spent the last 7 years working for YMCA Camp
Lakewood where he learned all kinds of new games and programs
that
he can't wait to teach the campers. Keith's favorite game
is PDQ and his favorite song is "The Bear Song".
Keith looks forward to meeting all of the new and returning
campers and
can't wait to make this summer truly special for campers
and staff.

Davidson
Scott is in his third year with Camp Sokkia, bringing
a love of sports and the outdoors. His favorite camp game (and
away-from-camp-game) is soccer, and Scott's song is "Throw It Out
The Window". When asked about school, he answered "Lots!" Scott
wants to meet new children that love CAMP SOKKIA!

O'Neill
This is Brian's fifth year working at Camp Sokkia, but has
been coming to camp "forever." He's a swimmer and
goes to school at MacArthur High School - he'll be a senior.
His
favorite camp game is Pickle and loves to sing "Let Me See
Your Boogaloo"! Brian hopes to become a stronger counselor
this
summer
and to play soccer as well as Scott.

Tania returns to camp after her sophomore year at Nortwest
Missouri State University, and is ready to play Big Booty and
Capture
the
Flag
with all of the Camp Sokkia kids. She loves to sing "Long,
Long, Long, Long, Long, Long Way Home" really loud and is looking
forward
to having a lot of fun this summer and can't wait to get to
know all of the kiddies!

Tracy is a Nursing Major at Central Missouri State University,
and really thinks this summer will be a great time to "Have
Fun!" Tracy's favorite camp game is Capture the Flag
(preferably played in the dark!) and her song is "Let Me
See Your Boobaloo".

Matt
is back for his fourth year as a conselor with Camp Sokkia,
loves to play soccer with the kids and also likes sining "Boogaloo"
really loud. He just graduated from Maroa-Forsyth High School
- congratulate him! - and can't wait to meet new kids and teach
them inportant values of the YMCA.

Higgy
is starting his eighth year as a Camp Sokkia counselor, and
returns to us this summer after his sophomore year at Lincoln
College. His favorite camp game is Capture the Flag and song
is "I'm A Monkey". He wants to provide the kids with a positive
influence every day, demonstrating the YMCA's Four Character
Values: Caring, Honesty, Respect & Responsibility.

A
student at Illinois College, Laura has come back to camp as
a counselor for the fourth year. She can't wait to get to know
the campers, play Capture the Flag or Smorgasboard Realay while
singing "Let Me See Your Boogaloo".
Well, maybe not all at once!

This
is Susannah's fourth summer with Camp Sokkia. Her favorite camp
song is "Tarzan" and her favorite game is Who's the Man? She
has an awesome husband and two great dogs - and is a teacher of
deaf and hard-of-hearing children.

This is Lori's second summer as a Camp Sokkia counselor and
she says "I love it!". Lori attends Concordia University
Wisconsin majoring in Education.She loves volleyball
and Pickle and her favorite camp songs this year are "Let Me
See Your Boogaloo" and the "Milk Song". Her goals for the summer
are to have as much fun as possible and to get to know all
the campers while focusing on the Core Values of the Y!

Matt
is in his second year as a Camp Sokkia Counselor, coming to
us from Taylor University. Matt's goal this summer is to have
fun, and playing Car Lot every day would be a great start.
He has
taken a real liking to "Let Me See Your Boogalo"o - this seems
to be the favorite of the counselors this year. Is this one
destined for the Top 40?

David
is also in his second year as a Sokkia counselor and attends
Illinois College. His goals for the summer are really high -
to make Camp Sokkia the BEST! To learn as much as possible from
the staff as well as the kids. Sounds like he's going to be very
busy! David likes to play Car Lot and sing "Boom Chicka Boom".

Otis
Alex is going to be a sophomore at Truman State
University with a double major: Vocal Performance and English
Secondary Education. There will be a test! She comes back
to camp as a first-year counselor, back after five years
as a kid camper. She is really excited to be back as a counselor!

Smith
Thad is in his first year with Camp Sokkia and will be
a freshman at Eastern Illinois University after the campers are
through with him. He loves to fish and do outdoor activities -
leave your GameBoys at home when you're with Thad! He graduated
from St. Teresa High School in '08, enjoys all kinds of music and
has been playing guitar for over five years. Welcome to Camp Sokkia,
Thad!
