Molly has been a trainer at the Decatur Family YMCA since 2012. Along with leading multiple classes and personal training sessions, Molly leads the WSOYMCA Challenge program.

Molly's training style: My training style would be characterized as functional fitness, focusing on compound exercises/movements which target a variety of muscle groups and mimic activities of daily living. I tailor all training sessions to each client's personal fitness level and goals. Cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, agility and/or balance...whatever a client's goal may be, I will deliver a training program based on his/her needs. Fun fact...my favorite training tool is a medicine ball!

Molly's personal training philosophy: It's time to make fitness fun for you! Let's get off that treadmill or elliptical machine and move your body in a different way! Exercise doesn't have to be boring or something you dread. The more you enjoy exercise, the greater the chance you'll make it an important part of your daily lifestyle long term. I will bring fun, enthusiasm and motivation to each and every one of your sessions. I will teach you the tools you can use well beyond your sessions to continue to incorporate exercise into your new healthy and active lifestyle.

  • B.S. in Human Resource Management from Millikin University
  • Certified ACE (American Council on Exercise) Personal Trainer
  • Certified in TRX Suspension Training
  • Certified Kettlebell Trainer
  • Teaches: WSOYMCA Challenge, TRX, Ultimate Cross Training, Spin, Sandbag and Core
