Tumbling
The
new and improved YMCA Tumble Jungle will offer participants the
most optimal environment to progress each child's skills. Just sign
your child up for tumbling and our experienced instructors will
take care of the rest. We will take the guesswork out of registration.
Here's how it works:
Register your child, ages 2 - 15 years old, for a 30 to 45-minute
class. On the first day of the session if your child is between

Kid Fit
Get
the kids moving with this special camp. Youth ages 8 - 15 will
participate
in various exercises that promote strength and flexibility using
our Strength Gym and Sportwall. Financial assistance available.

Youth Wellness
Center Privileges
Youth
members (ages 8-15) who are interested in Wellness Center
privileges should obtain an application packet which
includes fitness tests, and outlines usage policies and
center rules. It also highlights the physical and behavior
expectations of young people using the Wellness Center.
Parents must accompany their child through the "Youth
Orientation". Only those completing the "Youth
Orientation" will be allowed in the Wellness
Center - No Exceptions. Once
testing and orientation have been completed, youth who
are 8-15 years old will be authorized to use the new
Ronald McDonald Youth Fitness Equipment. Contact Rob at

Youth
Fit Coach
This
program features one-on-one training for youth. Similar to
the adult Personal Trainer, this program tailors the program to the
individual need of the youth, whether sport skills, weight loss or

Sportwall
Serious
fitness for people who love to play! Sportwall assists in accomplishing
the goals of any fitness program. Sessions are based on computer
games which naturally promote interaction while providing exercise
in a venue that requires active participation. Y members of all
ages can experience the fun associated with Sportwall. Sessions
are customized to provide members with opportunities that enhance
social interaction and allow for developing concepts for successful
team play.

Family
Spin
Wednesday, December 19th and Thursday, January 3rd we will highlight a brand
new program at the Decatur Family YMCA. Here's your chance to take a spin class
with your child! The Demo's will take place in the lobby at 4:15 PM each of those
two days.
Family
Spin will be offered for the first time as a class during the
Winter 1 session. Currently, we have two youth spin bikes so
the class will be first come, first served. This first session,
Winter 1, will be free to members, generating interest and evaluating
popularity. The support and interest will help us determine the
need for additional bikes.

Leader's Club
Leader's Club is taking the summer off, beginning again in September
for youth in 7th through 12th grades. It meets on the third Friday
of the month

the YMCA

team building, communication skills, fun activities and life skills.

Cheerleading
Cheerleading
focuses on learning basic moves and proper placement through drills
and instruction. The class will also feature work on jumps through
plyometrics and jump drills. For ages 8 to 13. If you want to
learn

Girlfriends
Club
This
program is for girls only! This club is for 3rd through 5th graders
and will be held the first Tuesday of the month beginning in September
from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Bring your best friends for a special night
of
bonding
with
the
girls. This program allows girls to share experiences and develop
friendships that will last a lifetime. Field trips and snacks will
be provided.

Youth & Government
(New)
The
YMCA Youth & Government programs develop personal growth and encourage
life-long responsible citizenship by providing experiential learning
for young people and by providing public forums to recognize the
abilities and capabilities of youth.
Youth
