Jujutsu, Kung Fu, and Karate

Martial Arts help to improve self-esteem, self-discipline, physical fitness, balance, flexibility, and concentration.

Jujutsu (ages 13+)

Jujutsu is a martial art developed by the Japanese samurai for use in the event that the warrior was disarmed on the battlefield. It is a grappling art containing joint locks, submissions, ground fighting, throws and striking skills. This martial art develops falling and tumbling skills improve strength and flexibility, and emphasizes discipline, respect, honor, and integrity.

Time: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. on Mondays
Cost: Members $25.00 per month Non-members $50.00 per month.

Kung Fu (ages 10+)

Kung Fu is a martial art that focuses on animal behaviors and is used to cultivate a healthy body and mind as well as preparing one for self-defense. The specific animal style focuses on the crane and also teaches the use of kung fu weapons to students who have been training for more than a year and with parent’s permission. Parental consent is required for students under the age of 18 interested in training with weapons.

Time: 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays
Cost: Members $25.00 per month Non-members $50.00 per month.

Karate (ages 5+)

Karate is a form of unarmed combat for self-defense. This is an excellent form of exercise as it improves the cardiovascular system, develops strength, bone density, flexibility, stamina and overall body control.

Time: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays
Cost: Members $25.00 per month Non-members $50.00 per month.
