Families at the YMCA will soon see an exciting improvement to one of the facility’s most family-centered spaces. Beginning March 22, the YMCA will start renovations in its Child Watch area to install a new soft play structure designed specifically for young children.

The renovation will transform the space into a more engaging and developmentally appropriate environment where children can safely climb, explore, and play while their parents and caregivers focus on their own health and wellness. Child Watch plays an important role in the YMCA experience by giving families the support they need to stay active and connected to the community.

The project has been made possible through the generosity of a donor who believes deeply in the YMCA’s mission and the impact it has on local families. Their gift will help create a space where children can laugh, move, and grow while building positive early experiences at the Y.

Once completed, the soft play area will offer an inviting environment that encourages imagination, movement, and joyful play for the YMCA’s youngest members.

The YMCA looks forward to sharing the newly renovated Child Watch space with families in the coming weeks and celebrating another step forward in supporting the wellbeing of the community.
