Our annual Backpack Attack is our largest community outreach event each year, where we focus on giving school-aged children free backpacks and school supplies.
This year, we will offer bags at three distribution locations: Decatur Family YMCA, Macon County Health Department, and John's Hill Magnet School. The location at John's Hill Magnet School will operate as a drive-up site.
The Macon County Health Department will enhance its efforts by offering vaccinations, physical examinations, and dental screenings at its location. Additionally, Decatur Family YMCA will host a resource fair aimed at providing essential support for low-income families.
